De Superjhemp Ënnert dem Röntgenbléck

Commissioned by the National Center of Literature in Luxembourg, we designed a 208-page book about the country’s most famous superhero.

A strong heritage

Superjhemp is Luxembourg’s most recognizable, illustrated character. For the National Centre of Literature’s exhibition about the titular character, Bureau Clarté was tasked to design a book that contained a multitude of articles and analyses from various writers about the comic scene in Luxembourg, Superjhemp’s origins and his influence on the country.

With an immense heritage and strong visuals, we came up with a layout that allowed the paintings and drawings from the originals to breathe and shine. Simultaneously, we developed new visuals that color-coded the different chapters of the book, being redrawn from the source material and given a new context.
